2017 Nacra 17 EGM
Dear Nacra 17 Sailors,
On July 9, 2017 voting closed for the Extraordinary General Meeting of the class. 8 class rule changes and 2 policy changes were taken to a vote. The primary reason for holding an AGM at this time was to update the class rules to manage the evolution of the class to full foiling. Of the 10 items, all were adopted except for the requirement to carry a tank of air for emergencies.
As was discussed in the class before the meeting started, this is only the first step in the development of the class to full foiling. The next opportunity for rule changes will be at the AGM in La Grande Motte ahead of the 2017 Worlds. We invite you all to submit to the class manager any submissions for change by August 1st, 2017 to comply with our class constitution.
The submissions voted on are Submissions, and the voting table is below.
