The 2023 Asian Sailing Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, brought together sailors from all over Asia for a thrilling competition. Qualifiers for Paris 2024:
Apart from winning medals, teams had a shot at qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics as this event served as the Asian Continental Qualifier for all 3 classes. China, the top nation in each class, secured their spot for Paris in the 49er, FX and Nacra 17.
In the Nacra, this event combined with the Asian Games, served as an internal trial to select the team to go to next years Olympics, giving Huicong Mai and Linlin Chen the chance to represent China.
