As of this morning, all teams racing at the 2017 Worlds now have access to pick up their new bearings and renew sailing efforts in all conditions.
Nacra Sailing and their suppliers had the machines running overtime all week and then took an overnight flight from the Netherlands to La Grande Motte. Enough parts for all teams are now in La Grande Motte, home of the 2017 World Championship, which begins on September 4th.
The new bearings are being traded out free of charge to the sailors. As per this video, part exchange is easy, and the recall is now lifted on all teams using the new bearings.
For the past week, teams were allowed to sail in conditions up to 15 knots on the original bearing.
