How to follow the Nacra17 Worlds 2016 in Clearwater

The Nacra 17 World Championship will be held in Clearwater from February 9-14, 2016. Today the first race is scheduled at 1200. At this moment 45 teams from 23 countries registered. For many teams this event will be an important selection to participate the Olympics in Rio. Together with the nacra17 and nacra17 FX Worlds, this will be the first Olympic-class sailing world championships held in the United States since 2010. Between the three competing classes, over 400 sailors are expected to compete for world titles in the pristine blue waters that Clearwater is known for.

Six months before The Olympic Games in Rio, the Nacra 17 Worlds will feature Rio-bound sailors in the final stages of preparation for The Games. The Trofeo Princesa Sofía Cup in Palma, the most important Olympic Classes regatta in Europe, is the last opportunity to qualify the remaining two countries for Rio. Only two open spots; one for a country from Africa and one for a country from Europe.
