Olivia Mackay, from Hawke's Bay, is a New Zealand Nacra 17 sailor who realised her Olympic dream at the Tokyo 2020 Games. She and crew Jason Saunders won the New Zealand National Championship in 2019 and emerged as one of the country's leading crews in the foiling catamaran.

Balancing elite sailing with her studies, Mackay came through a competitive Kiwi selection scene to represent New Zealand on the Olympic stage.

She has been part of the country's strong tradition in the class.

Jason Saunders is an experienced New Zealand multihull sailor who has twice been part of the country's Olympic Nacra 17 effort. He finished fourth at the Rio 2016 Olympics crewing for Gemma Jones, before later teaming up with Olivia Mackay.

With Mackay he won the 2019 New Zealand Nationals and went on to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, bringing valuable Games experience to the partnership.

Saunders has long been among the most seasoned crews in New Zealand's Nacra 17 ranks.
