Albrecht / Nicolino

Samuel Albrecht is one of Brazil's most experienced Olympic sailors, having competed at three Olympic Games. A veteran of the multihull scene, he raced the Nacra 17 at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with Gabriela Nicolino, reaching the medal-race finale among the world's top ten crews.

The pair have been consistent performers for Brazil, taking medals at the Pan American Games, including bronze at Lima 2019 and again at Santiago 2023, the latter securing Brazil's Olympic quota for Paris 2024.

Albrecht's longevity and big-fleet experience have made him a cornerstone of Brazilian Olympic sailing across multiple cycles.

Gabriela Nicolino made her Olympic debut crewing for the vastly experienced Samuel Albrecht at the Tokyo 2020 Games, where the Brazilian pair reached the Nacra 17 medal race. Having once been rivals, the two joined forces to become Brazil's leading crew in the class.

Nicolino has shared in the team's Pan American Games success, with medals at Lima 2019 and a bronze at Santiago 2023 that booked Brazil's place at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

She is among the leading lights of Brazilian multihull sailing.
