Florian Trittel is a Spanish sailor with a remarkable cross-class record. He raced the Nacra 17 at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with Tara Pacheco, finishing sixth despite the pair having teamed up only a couple of years earlier, and despite Trittel being new to the catamaran at the time.

He then switched to the 49er skiff and reached the very top, winning Olympic gold at the Paris 2024 Games alongside Diego Botin, one of Spanish sailing's greatest triumphs.

Trittel's ability to excel in two very different high-performance classes marks him out as one of the most talented all-round sailors of his generation.
