Read MoreSAN PEDRO, CA – More than 300 competitors from 47 countries will race in San Pedro OCR over 6 days, including 70+ Olympians. Among them are 19 winners of a collective 22 Olympic medals, including 3 gold, 12 silver, and 7 bronze.
San Pedro OCR is the first Olympic Class regatta to take place at the Port of Los Angeles in the history of Olympic sailing, including the 1984 Games which was held east of this new site. Along with Long Beach OCR, it is one of only two major Olympic Class events that take place in the United States.
San Pedro OCR is a part of the Olympic Class Sailing Grand Slam Series, which includes The Princess Sofia Trophy in Mallorca, Spain; French Olympic Week in Hyeres, France; Dutch Water Week in Almere, The Netherlands; Kiel Week in Kiel, Germany; and the Long Beach and San Pedro OCRs.

Media Center
Located: Los Angeles Yacht Club in the Transpac Room – 285 Whalers Walk, San Pedro
Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Wireless internet, power, seating, tables, parking, and other infrastructure is available.
Photo/Media Boats
Media boats will be available for approved photographers and reporters going out to cover the racing. There are limited spots, and spaces are available by pre-arrangement only (415-515-2084, meredith@foresightmessaging.com) Only professional media accredited and listed for the photo boats will be permitted to embark.
The meeting point for boarding will be at the Los Angeles Yacht Club – 285 Whalers Walk, San Pedro. Photographers and reporters will be led to the boats from there.
Interviews with Olympic Athletes and Olympic Hopefuls
Interviews may be conducted in the boat park or in the media room. Please pre-arrange with Meredith Glacken (415-515-2084, meredith@foresightmessaging.com).
