Bissaro / Frascari

Vittorio Bissaro is an Italian sailor and engineer whose career bridges Olympic competition and the technical cutting edge of the sport. Born in 1987 and a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, he was awarded Italy's highest sporting honour, the CONI Golden Collar for Sporting Merit.

He raced the Nacra 17 at the Rio 2016 Olympics with Silvia Sicouri, narrowly missing a medal with a fifth-place finish after a tense final race. Teaming with Maelle Frascari from 2017, he reached the top of the podium, winning the 2019 World Championship.

Bissaro later brought his analytical, performance-driven approach to the America's Cup arena, continuing a career defined by both sailing skill and technical mastery of fast boats.

Maelle Frascari is an Italian Nacra 17 sailor who, crewing for Vittorio Bissaro, became World Champion in 2019. Her skill in the front of the foiling catamaran was central to one of Italy's standout results of that cycle.

The partnership established itself among the leading crews in the world, combining Frascari's athleticism with Bissaro's technical precision.

She has been part of a golden era for Italian multihull sailing.
